Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her roles in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. Bassett has been awarded a variety of awards, including two Golden Globe Awards and 16 NAACP Image Awards. Her name has been praised for her TV and film performances since the early 1980s. Her accolades are the two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is originally from New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett as well as her younger sister at the age of five old, made the move out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their divorced father. Bassett was in high school and watched John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she decided to become an actress. Yale University New Haven Connecticut gave her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and a graduate degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. In 1997, she was married Courtney B. Vance who was an actor in the same group. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her leading parts, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
